January 19th - January 25th

Rachel has had a little bit of a hard week, we think she is teething. When she is excited she does a skip/hop/jump thing that is really funny. John says she looks like Monty Python riding an invisible horse. Her naps are all over the board with some of them being barely an hour and others over 2 hours. It makes it interesting when I am trying to take a nap as well. I love watching her learn and grow everyday.

Monday 19th - John had today off of work so we had a relaxing day. Rachel had a little bit of a fever, so we wanted her to stay home.  In the morning we had a maintenance man come to work on fixing the sprinkler in our spare room closet. During Rachel's nap I took a nap as well and John went to Autozone to get a new cabin air-filter for the Kia.  It was so fun to have John home for the day.

Tuesday 20th - John got up early and went for a 6 mile run. Later in the morning I took Rachel over to a babysitters and headed to my doctors appointment.  It was my big ultrasound with a tech.  She made sure that baby boy did not have physical defects and that there is plenty of blood flowing through the cord. When I went to pick up Rachel she did not want to leave and she screamed and cried all the way home.  John tutored in the evening, and then had a presidency meeting, so he wasn't able to be home much.

Wednesday 21st - Rachel and I spent the day hanging out at the apartment. John had a work dinner in the evening, so he didn't make it home until late. Rachel and I went to Arctic Circle for dinner. While I was there, a mother was there with her son he kind of cough threw-up a couple times but his mom just kept saying he was running around to hard so I didn't think much of it. Then he went over to him mom again after not running around at all he threw-up all over the floor, I grabbed Rachel as fast as I could and left.  As I was putting her coat on the mom sent her son back onto the playground I was so shocked and surprised.  John said he enjoyed the dinner, but he had to leave early so he could sell our old phones.

Thursday 22nd - The day was nice and relaxing. John tutored again, but was able to make it home before too late. We watched The Biggest Loser, and relaxed.

Friday 23rd - Rachel and I made a trip to Costco to pick up some food and other items in the morning. That afternoon someone came to work on the closet in the guest room. In the evening, John picked up my cousin Katie to watch Rachel while we went to the temple with John's family. It was nice to be able to go to the temple. After we had to get home so that we could take Katie home though, so we missed out on the treat afterwards. I took Katie back home, and John gave Rachel a bath and put her to bed. It was really late, and she was really tired. I had hoped to make it back in time, but she wasn't staying up.

Saturday 24th - John got up early and met up with a few family members to go on an 11 mile run. After he got back, we went to pick up a couple of items for the family dinner on Sunday. We wanted to give Rachel some time to play, so we went to Arctic Circle and got a cheap lunch so that she could play on the playground there. After that we came home and put her down for a nap. John went out with the Elder's Quorum President to give a blessing, and I laid down for a nap. John got back and played his game for a bit. Rachel woke up first, but John watched her so I could sleep longer. After she got up, we ate leftovers for dinner, and our friends Becca and Joe came over for games. We played two rounds of Dominion, and I won both! It was a fun evening.

Sunday 25th - Rachel slept until about 8, so we all got to enjoy a late morning. We tried to put her down for a nap around 11, but she wouldn't fall asleep. We also realized that she had a runny nose, so we didn't want to take her to nursery, so we let her get back up. We did some organizing of her closet, and put away some of her smaller clothes. We then went to church. After sacrament meeting, I came home with Rachel. She got a nap, and seemed to be feeling a little better. We then went to Family Dinner. It was lasagna. Rachel did really well sitting at the kid table, but was ready to leave by the end. She brought me her shoes, and as soon as I had them on, she went straight to the door. We drove home, and John got her in the bath.
