July 20th - July 26th

Rachel's vocabulary has really been blossoming.  She has so many more words that she tries to say and so many more of them are understandable.  She has now learned to open doors which has made things fun and required us to put child locks on a couple doors to keep things safe. She doesn't eat a lot because she is much too busy running around to stop and be bothered with food. Rachel absolutely loves going places and always wants her shoes on because she thinks it means so will get to go somewhere.  When someone does leave without her she is always devastated and cries and cries. She also loves to sing, especially songs with actions. We are getting tired of singing "The Wheels on the Bus".

David is getting so big and chunking out so much.  He is getting more curious about the world around him.  It is lots of fun to see him smiling more and more as he is focusing on the people around him.  When John or I talk around him he tries to follow our voices.

Monday 20th - John went in to work early so he could leave early on Wednesday.  Mid-morning Gloria came over and went with me to look at some more apartments.  After we got back we all ate some lunch. I tried to put Rachel down for a nap but since she had taken a short nap in the car she was not going to sleep which means I didn't get a nap either.  On his way home John checked out another townhome but it was a no go.  After he got home we ate dinner and got Rachel to bed.  Once she was asleep John and I spent some time scouring the internet for more places to live.

Tuesday 21st - We spent most of the morning at home and I worked on calling different houses and apartments to rent. I went to visit a basement apartment and loved it.  I made plans to go back with John. I spent the rest of the afternoon with the kids eating lunch and taking naps.  In the evening after work John drove out to Tooele to tutor.

Wednesday 22nd - In the morning I worked on finished a poster for Quinn.  We left a couple hours before we needed to be at the airport so that I could pick up his banner and some lunch for Quinn to eat at the airport during his layover.  After we got home we had some dinner and then went to look and a basement apartment.  We both really liked it and we are hoping it will work for us to move there.

Thursday 23rd - In the morning I went to look at a couple more places just to make sure that the basement was the right option for us.  I did not have a good feeling at either of the places I looked at. I went to Gloria's house for a few minutes to chat and then I hurried home to eat lunch and finish packing.  When John got home from work (a little earlier than normal) he packed up the car and we headed out. We made it to a rest area about 30 miles north of Cedar City before David became distraught and we stopped so I could feed him.  We went through a drive-through in Cedar for some dinner and then made it the rest of the way. Rachel had so much fun playing with toys so we let her stay up way too late.

Friday 24th - John and my mom went for a 5 mile run in the morning and right after they left both kids woke up nice and early so I was tired.  We spent the morning hanging out at the house and then my mom and I went to Swig and then to rent a movie.  That afternoon John, Quinn, and Gibson went to see the second Avengers movie. While they were gone my mom, Sierra, and I watched a chick-flick.  I took a little nap after our movie ended until a little bit after the boys got home.  We spent the evening relaxing together.

Saturday 25th - John went for a run in the morning and ran to tennis.  Quinn, Gibson, and I met him there later. Tennis was a lot of fun even though I didn't do very well.  After we got back to the house and ready for the day I ran some errands with my mom and Rachel and John stayed at the house with David.  As soon as we got back John took the car to Safelite for an inspection and to Costco for gas. That evening my grandma, Jodi and her family, and Kristi got there for dinner and talking.

Sunday 26th - David was up for a couple hours in the middle of the night and John was nice enough to stay up with him so I could try to catch up on a little sleep.  We went to the church at 9 for Gibson to be ordained to the office of a teacher and my cousin Katie stayed at the house to watch David.  We headed back home to try to get some more stuff ready for the dinner after church.  Rachel was super tired from getting up early and would not stay in nursery. John, my mom, Rachel, David, and myself left a little early to finish packing up our stuff and get everything out for the breakfast buffet.  After dinner John finished packing up the car and we headed out.  We managed to drive the whole way home without stopping, as David didn't wake up until we got to Mountain View. It was awesome.  We spent the rest of the evening unpacking and getting the kids to bed.
