April 27th - May 3rd

Rachel continues to grow, and we think she is hitting a growth spurt. Her favorite word is "yucky," which is cute until she says it 20 times. She is very strong willed, but wants to help out in all that she can. She wants to do everything on her own, but will ask if she can't do it. She also knows to say sorry (most of the time) when she does something she shouldn't and always gives a hug.

Monday 27th - In the morning, I worked on sewing for the All About Mom expo I was going to be at on Saturday. For lunch, I was able to meet up with one of my good friends for lunch. It was a lot of fun. Rachel at a ton of food at lunch. A full kid's bowl of pasta, half of my breadstick, and half of my friend's breadstick. Then we headed back, and I sewed some more. We FaceTimed with John in the evening, and I headed to bed.

Tuesday 28th - I sewed, sewed, and sewed. My mom and I went later and bought a cute blessing outfit for Baby Boy. After that, she took me out for dinner to Jimmy John's, which I had been craving for a while. It was really nice. John called and we were able to do FaceTime for a little bit before I put Rachel down for bed.

Wednesday 29th - Wednesday morning Rachel had pictures. She was super cute, and cooperated. After that, we went to the bridal shower for one of my friends from high school. It was a lot of fun to be able to see her again. After that, we stopped and said hi to my dad, got the tire pressure checked, and headed home. We were able to drive all the way to Santaquin before Rachel woke up. We made it home, and John made breakfast burritos for dinner.

Thursday 30th - I spent most of the day sewing. Rachel was on one for most of the morning, but mellowed out a little later. Her less than an hour nap didn't help though. For lunch, she ate two bowls of macaroni and cheese. But for dinner she didn't want anything. John had to stay late at work for a meeting on a paper they are working on, so he didn't make it home until late. We got Rachel ready for bed, and went to bed ourselves.

Friday May 1st - Friday was the final day of preparations. I spent the morning sewing, and ran some errands to get some final items for the Expo on Saturday. John was able to come home a little early to help me get everything organized and packed up. We watched Amazing Race as a break and got Rachel to bed.

Saturday 2nd - Rise and shine early! John went for a 10 mile run at 5, and I woke up shortly after that to start getting ready. John had packed up the car the night before, so we were able to leave home around 7:30 to head over to the Expo. We got everything set up while Rachel cried at us. At 9, everything was ready, and John took Rachel home. No one showed up for a little while, but then people started to file through. I was a little less than impressed with a few things, but overall it was a good experience. I was able to sell a few items and made back more than the cost, so that was good. Gloria was so kind and brought me lunch and stayed with me for the afternoon. At around 3:30, we started to pack up. John and Rachel came over and picked us up, and we headed home. After we got home, John and I went to Leatherby's for dinner because one of John's good friends from there was working his last shift. It wasn't the best quality, but our server (John's friend) was great, so it made for a good night. We made it home and headed to bed.

Sunday 3rd - Rachel woke up too early for John, but at her normal time. We hung out in the morning before church. At church, Rachel was starting to get tired during Sacrament, and was very active. She went to Nursery well though. My primary class was good, and then we headed home. John made dinner, and some friends came over for games. Rachel was really tired, so we were able to get her to bed early. We played three games of 7 Wonders, and I won the last game. It was a lot of fun.
