Rachel Update

It has been quite a while since I posted so I wanted to do a quick review of how Rachel is growing.

Rachel is getting so big and she loves so many things. She loves playing with her toys (her toys being a loose term since everything becomes her toy).  She loves standing up on everything the couch, TV, toys, and anyone around. Rachel crawls everywhere and she is getting so fast, she wants to walk so bad. I have absolutely love being a mom, it is so incredibly fulfilling and I would not change it for anything.  

Rachel's Blessing

I am a little late in posting these pictures but life with a baby is busy.  John and I had so much support from family that drove all the way to Logan for Rachel's blessing, and since we had such an early church time it was even harder for some. Here are some pictures of Rachel's beautiful dress.

I have had these pictures for a while but I am finally getting around to putting them on my blog.  So many wonderful pictures taken by great family.  

These newborn pictures were taken by my brother Quinn and a couple were taken by my mom.

These family pictures were taken by my sister-in-law.

I am so thankful for all the people who took pictures for me, they are all so talented.  

Baby Girl's Birth

I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl on May 8, 2013.  I went into the hospital around 3:30 in the afternoon after my doctors appointment.

Once at the hospital I started going pretty fast.  I dilated from a 4 to a 10 in an hour (that was fun). At 10 p.m. the nurse had me start pushing.  I had to stop pushing for about 10 minutes while we waited for my doctor to get there.

At 10:55 p.m. my baby girl was born.  She weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 21 inches long.  

Having a baby is the most amazing thing.  I am so happy she is here!

Week 40

I made it to 40 weeks!  Baby girl is the size of a jackfruit.  I am so ready to meet my little girl.  Wednesday night I will be going into the hospital to be induced.  Once she is here it will be the start of a whole new chapter of life.

Week 39

39 weeks!  Baby girl is now the size of a small watermelon.  Her organs are now very well-developed and ready to function outside the womb.  I am so ready for her to come, I am extremely uncomfortable.  I just want to hold her.  

Week 38

Only 2 weeks until my due date.  Baby girl weighs around 7 pounds and is the size of a small pumpkin.  I have been having a lot of back pain because baby girl is sitting so low and so far back. I am so ready for this little girl to come, I am so excited to get to hold her.
