Baby Girl Week 35

Baby girl is getting big, at this point babies are gaining weight at different speeds so its hard to know exactly what she weights at this point but probably over 5 pounds. Since most of her organs are fully functional and major developmental milestones behind her, the next month is all about weight gain. She is currently head down and all fingers crossed that she stays that way.

Baby Girl Week 34

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Baby girl is over 4 pounds. Finger nails and toenails are well-formed and may often grow up from the nail bed to reach the tip of the fingers and toes. She can now open and close her eyes and some research shows that her pupils constrict when exposed to bright lights.

Baby Girl Week 33

Baby girl is about 4 pounds and the size of a pineapple. The babies skeleton is hardening except the skull which remains soft and flexible to fit through the birth canal.

Baby Girl Week 32

Baby girl is now around 3 3/4 pounds and continues to grow rapidly. Some babies at this point have more hair growing on their head, it will be interesting to see if baby girl has more hair then her siblings. She loves to be awake when I am trying to go to sleep which is oh so comfortable for me. Something different this pregnancy is that baby girl rarely kicks she just rolls around and pushes the edges of my belly.

Baby Girl Week 31

Baby girl is now about 3 pounds which is the size of a bag of oranges. Her brain is now more fully developed with speech and language centers in the process of development. She now moves around a lot, flipping around, rotate and even turn her head side-to-side.

Baby Girl Week 30

Happy Valentines Day!

Baby girl is about the length of a cucumber and weight just under 3 pounds. Her eyes now open, close, and blink. Her vision is still poor and will stay that way for a few months after delivery. Some studies say that she is now dreaming when she is asleep. She now has a distinct sleep and wake cycles although it is not timed with my sleep schedule.

Baby Girl Week 29

Baby girl is now about 2 3/4 pounds. Her bones are beginning to harden and store iron, phosphorus, and calcium.
