November 24th - November 30th

Rachel is starting to say more words (or at least what we recognize as words). She has added "puppy" (puhpa) and can also say Sierra. When asked what a doggy says she pants, it is really cute. She gets excited and tries to jump off of the ground, but can now actually get a little air. She has a lot of energy, but we are able to get her down to bed fairly easily most nights. She will occasionally snuggle with us, but that is still rare, so we enjoy it all that we can.

Monday 24th - Monday morning I had my 12 week checkup.  Rachel went with me since it was supposed to be a fairly fast appointment with just a measurement of my belly and listening to the heartbeat. My doctor is training a new OBGYN and I was asked if he could do my appointment.  That was totally fine with me since it was a simple visit.  When he and the nurse tried to find the heart beat they couldn't so they called the doctor in to look, but he couldn't find it either.  At this point I was totally freaking out and about to burst into tears. They took me into the ultrasound room where they were able to find the baby very quickly.  The baby was sitting at the very back of my uterus just lounging which made it hard to hear the heartbeat.  They got the baby to move around and showed me the beating heart.  The only nice thing about it was that I got to see the baby and get a couple pictures that I wasn't planning on. The whole time this was going on Rachel was freaking out and crying because I was up on the table and she wanted me to hold her.  After my appointment Rachel and I headed to Walmart to have them look and the tires and get some groceries.  They were unwilling to fix the tires so I got my groceries and headed home with Rachel. The rest of the day was just spent at home.

Tuesday 25th - Tuesday morning Rachel had her 18 month check up. She weighed 24.12 pounds which is 74th percentile, 32.9 inched tall which is 78th percentile, and her head was 19 inches around which is 92nd percentile.  It took about an hour  at the doctors office and then we headed to Discount Tire to get the back tires on the Kia replaced.  It took almost 2 hours because they were so busy and Rachel was so tired and done by the time we got to leave.  We headed home for nap time for both of us.  That night John tutored via skype and I worked on my Jello salad for Thanksgiving.

Wednesday 26th - John went to work and tutored.  Rachel and I spent the day at home relaxing and waiting for my parents to get there.  John beat them to the house which worked because he was able to go get a pizza for dinner and arrived with it not too long after my parents got to the house. Rachel was so excited to see them and enjoyed playing with them until her mean parents made her go to bed. While we ate dinner we enjoyed watching Survivor together.

Thursday 27th - Happy Thanksgiving! My mom, dad, and John ran in the the thankful 13 so they headed to Lehi around 7 and I left about an hour later to see them come in.  There were no close parking spots so I missed my dad, brother, and cousins who ran the 5K, but I did get to see my mom and John cross the finish line (John got a new PR so he was excited). After we got back to the house everyone showered and we finished getting stuff ready for Thanksgiving dinners.  My parents headed over to Jodi's about 1:00 and we left a half hour later.  We started heading for Tiffani's house where we thought dinner was being held. Thank heavens we found out after only about 5 minutes so we didn't have to back track too far to Terry and Gloria's.  I was told that dinner was delicious and I really enjoyed the few things my stomach was able to handle.  We hung out at the house eating and chatting until about 6:45. After my parents got back we all went to bed since my mom and I were planing on getting up so early the next morning.

Friday 28th - Black Friday.  My mom and I got up at 4:00 a.m. to go shopping.  Even though all the stores we wanted to go to opened on Thursday with there door busters we refused to go out on a holiday and make people work.  We went at a great time because the crowd was gone and we were able to get all but 2 things on our list. We dropped stuff off at home and then my mom, Rachel, and I headed to Starbucks to meet all the Kidd (with a Kroff and Leavitt) women for hot chocolate.  Since I don't like chocolate when I'm pregnant I got Rachel and me apple juice boxes (I felt very grown-up). We stopped and got some Costa Vida for lunch on the way home.  At home we spent the afternoon relaxing and taking naps.  That evening we headed over to Brandon and Stacie's house for deep fried Friday.  The smell of the batter made me sick so I didn't eat anything just got to spent time with everyone. John stayed to play games so I took Rachel home and got her to bed. My parents were at a movie so I got ready for bed and laid on the couch watching tv until everyone got home.

Saturday 29th - Saturday morning John made delicious breakfast sandwiches for those that were there.  My mom and I started working on super Saturday stuff that I signed up over a month ago and couldn't go do.  We worked on painting in the morning. My mom had a much harder time then me since Rachel did not want my mom to set her down. After lunch we headed over to my aunt Jodi's house to pick up Sierra and drop off my dad so he could watch the BYU game.  My mom, Sierra, Rachel, and I went to F.Y.E on the way back to my house and stopped to get Rachel and Sierra lunch incase Rachel fell asleep on the way home.  After we got home John put Rachel down for her nap before heading out to play games with the men of his family.  Rachel spent an hour playing in her room and then cried.  She never did get a nap.  While she was in her room my mom and I kept working on the projects.  After if was decided that Rachel was not going to sleep and we let her out of her room my mom and I took a break from the projects to let things dry and laid down on the couches for some quick naps.  That night for dinner we met John, my dad, Gibson, Jodi, and Jordan at Leatherby's for dinner and ice cream.  It was a lot of fun to chat even if I didn't eat a lot.  Rachel absolutely loved the fries and wanted to dunk all of them in the fry sauce. On the way home John and I stopped at Walmart for some fruit for the family dinner.  Rachel fell asleep on the way home and we put her strait to bed.

Sunday 30th - That morning when we got up we made cinnamon rolls for my family as they packed up to leave.  They left to head back to St. George about 8 and John and I started getting ready for church.  Rachel did really well during Sacrament meeting. She stayed in our row and waved to people behind us.  After Sacrament meeting I took Rachel to nursery. I tried leaving her but didn't make it very far before I could hear her banging on the door and screaming/crying so I went back in to calm her down and try to get her interested in the toys.  After awhile she got busy with the toys and I snuck out.  I got to sit with John for about 20 minutes before they brought me a hysterical Rachel.  I went back with them and helped her sit through snack time and the lesson.  While they were all coloring I snuck out again.  This time I only got to join John in the 5th Sunday lesson for about 10 minutes before they brought me Rachel.  I took her back and then since church was over grabbed her picture and went to find John.  Since John is now the first counselor in the Elders Quorum presidency he needed to go with the President after church to visit a few families so I took Rachel home by myself and put her down for her nap.  It was really simple since she fell asleep on the way home and I was able to lay her down on her bed strip her dress off and change her diaper with her barley awake. While I was eating lunch John came home and then he played on him computer while I laid on the bed to rest for a little bit.  That evening we went to the Kidd monthly family dinner where John and I were in charge of the menu so we did crepes.  After dinner and presents we headed home since I was not feeling well and Rachel and I were both getting tired.

November 17th - November 23rd

Rachel is so fun to watch.  She rarely walks anywhere she much prefers running.  When something loud happens in a different room than the one she is in she always has to hurry as fast as she can to see what is happening.  Her favorite word is Uh-Oh and she says it anytime she thinks something is wrong, out of place, or if she feels silly.  She will sign thank-you now but she does it from her ear instead of her chin which just cracks me up.  When we are saying prayers she will now fold her arms if we ask her to but if you don't finish praying in the allotted amount of time (like 20 seconds) then she is up and ready to play again.

Monday 17th - In the morning Rachel and I headed to Kid-to-Kid to return a couple things and get Rachel some pajamas. After we finished there we headed to Swig to get my mom a drink and take it to her. Rachel was so excited to see nonnie and ran around the room to get to her. We spent the afternoon relaxing. That night after dinner my mom, Rachel, and I went to Costco.

Tuesday 18th - Tuesday morning Rachel and I chilled at the house. Rachel was kind of cranky since she had been up since 6:00. For lunch we met my friend Brandy and her sweet new baby. We had a fun time visiting and catching up on each other's life.  I didn't enjoy eating very much but it was fun to see my friend. We hurried home after lunch so Rachel could get a short nap before we went to pick up Gibson at school.

Wednesday 19th - Wednesday was a day that I tried to not throw up. Rachel and I spent a lot of time at the house. In the evening, Sierra and Gib had different mutual activities, so my dad and I hung out in the evening. I watched survivor, and headed to bed.

Thursday 20th - I took my mom Swig in the morning. Rachel and I hung out some more at home. That evening, I went to Kid-to-Kid to try and find a pair of maternity pants. My mom and Gibson went to a school board meeting while Sierra went to Special Needs mutual, so I got to hang out with my dad again. Rachel was being a bit cranky, but we realized she was starting to get another tooth.

Friday 21st - Friday morning I went and got my hair done and then Rachel and I went back to the house where I promptly put her down for a nap because she was so cranky.  I picked up Gibson from school around 12:30 and then headed back to the house where Rachel played while I laid down. My mom got home early thanks to a short day at school. We went to Target where I found a good pair of maternity pants (so we could return the not-so-great pair) and a cute shirt. We then waited for John and Terry to arrive. That night after dinner, everyone watched Rachel so that John and I could go out on a date. We went bowling (John won, but I had my best game ever on our first game... we should have stopped then) and then went to Menchies for desert. When we got back, John put Rachel to bed, and after she fell asleep we all went to bed.

Saturday 22nd - John and my mom went running in the morning (7 miles). When they got back, John quickly showered and he and Terry went out to Hurricane to clean carpet. While they were gone, my mom and I got Super Saturday stuff out and organized so that we could work on it. In doing so, we found we didn't have most of the "household" items needed to complete the projects (is Modge Podge a household item?). We went get said items, and got back right after John and Terry had returned. While they began cleaning the carpet, we ate lunch and then left to get out (well, Rachel mostly) of the way. We went to Deseret Book. While we were headed there, Rachel fell asleep, so Sierra stayed in the car with her. Next we went to Carousel Kids were my mom found a cute little car for Rachel to ride around in. John hated this car by the end of the day because Rachel loved being pushed in it, but it is really low to the ground. We stopped at Walmart to get some items for dinner, and then we headed home to see the newly cleaned carpet. That night after dinner, John gave Rachel a bath while my mom, Gibson, and I went to Red-Box to get a movie and the movie theater for popcorn. We watched Maleficent, which we all enjoyed a lot.

Sunday 23rd - We woke up and got ready for church. Rachel had lots of fun during Sacrament meeting going between the two rows we were sitting on. John took her to Nursery, and ended up staying in with her the whole time. She started to relax and play after about 40 minutes, but would cry anytime that he left. As soon as we got home from church, John and I worked on packing all of our stuff up, and then Terry and John packed up the car. We ate some food and headed out. Rachel and I took a nap in the car on the way back. She slept longer than I did, and kept waking up and then falling back to sleep. After we got home, and the car was unloaded, John made dinner while we caught up on the Amazing Race. After dinner, John gave Rachel a bath and put her to bed.

November 10th - November 16th

Rachel is so active. She loves playing outside on nonnie and pop's trampoline and going down the slide. She loves playing with toy dishes and pretending to make things. At church when ever the piano or organ starts she likes to help lead the hymns. At bed time my family sits in a circle to do prayers and Rachel has started joining the circle and holding hands. A couple times she has even tried to pray. She has a long torso so all her shirts are 2T just for the length but her pants are still 18 months.

John spent the week working and tutoring. On Monday and Wednesday he ran 6 miles and on Saturday he ran 14 miles, he was super tired but managed to drag himself through the apartment.

Monday 10th - Monday morning I went off my anti-nausea medication. I still felt sick all day while taking it and it gave me horrible headaches. Rachel enjoyed spending the day playing with different toys then the ones she has at home.

Tuesday 11th - Tuesday morning I took my mom some swig and Rachel and I spent the rest of the day chilling at home.

Wednesday 12th - Rachel and I spent the morning relaxing and then at lunch time we went to Costa Vida and picked up food for my parents and one of my mom's coworkers. That evening I took Gibson to his tennis lesson.

Thursday 13th - Thursday was just spent relaxing at the house with Rachel playing and me feeling sick.

Friday 14th - Friday Gibson was in a tennis tournament so he didn't go to school. I dropped him off at Summit to warm up at 9 in the morning. Rachel and I went back home for the rest of the morning and nap time. My mom stopped  by to get us and change and we headed to Gibson's second match that afternoon. After he won his match we headed back to the house to pick up my dad and Sierra so we could head to dinner. We had a delicious dinner at Olive Garden where I enjoyed the soup and Rachel enjoyed running from person to person playing with everyone.

Saturday 15th - Saturday morning we headed out early for Gibson cold and windy first match. Rachel loved going by the fence to cheer him on. We returned to the house made a shopping list and headed to the store. Once the grocery shopping was finished we headed back to the house for nap time before Gibson's last match. We enjoyed a relaxing night at home after the match watching Mulan.

Sunday 16th - Sunday morning for Sacrament meeting we went to a different ward because the special needs mutual was singing and we all wanted to go support Sierra. We headed back to my parents ward for the rest of meetings. I tried to take Rachel to nursery but she does not like sharing or playing with the other children so she only lasted a couple minutes. We spent the Sunday school hour in the empty jr. nursery room were she had a blast and then she came to Relief Society with my mom and me. After we were all home from church and had dinner many of us enjoyed nap time.  Rachel was so cranky that evening that I put her to bed early but she was so tired she didn't know what she wanted so spent lots of time crying.

November 3rd - November 9th

Rachel is so busy all the time. She is always going and trying to get into things. She is now 18 months old. She loves that she can do more things by herself and is trying to talk more and more. She now signs all done and thank you which is nice.

Monday 3rd - Monday morning John when running, he did 6 miles.  Rachel and I just spent the day at home.  I was wiped out most of the day since I was switching anti-nausea medication.

Tuesday 4th - Tuesday was a really really bad for me.  Poor Rachel just had to entertain herself and when John got home he just got to listen to me cry.

Wednesday 5th - John went for a run and did another 6 miles.  I spent the day hanging out with Rachel.

Thursday 6th - Thursday was a lot more of the same with hanging out at home.  On his way home John ran to the grocery store for me. Our friends Becca and Joe came over after dinner to play games and get dessert. We played a couple rounds of 7 Wonders wich I lost totally and completly.

Friday 7th - In the morning I made some Spagetti for John so he would have something to eat while I was gone.  After the Spagetti was simmering I headed out with Rachel for the first time all week.  Our first stop was the drive-through Pharmacy to refill my nausea medication. After that we headed to a lady in my ward house to pick up my stuff from super Saturday a couple weeks ago when we went to the football game in Logan. On the way home we stopped at Jiffy Lube to get the tires filled since the tire pressure light was on.  After we got home it was lunch and nap time.  When John got home I started worked on packing my suitcase until dinner was ready.  Our friends Kevin and Kendra came over for a little bit that night to visit.

Saturday 8th - Saturday morning John got up nice and early and ran 13 miles. I worked on packing and when John got home he loaded the car for me. We let Rachel get out some energy and play on the playground while we waited for Terry to get there. Rachel was really good on the trip to Fillmore sleeping for almost an hour. We beat my mom to Fillmore but it worked since we decided to meet at the Maverick gas station with a playground so that Rachel could play some more. We ended up being in Fillmore for almost an hour chatting and letting Rachel play. The rest of the trip to St. George was pretty uneventful Rachel was happy until the last 10 minutes or so when she was just done in the car. On the way to my parents house we stopped to pick up a pizza for dinner. We spent the rest of the evening relaxing while Rachel enjoyed playing with all the toys.

Sunday 9th - In the morning I got sick trying to get ready so fast. Church went okay, Gibson gave a great talk in Sacrament Meeting. I took Rachel to nursery after Sacrament meeting and she did great for about half an hour and then they brought her to me in tears. She hung out with me and my dad for the rest of Sunday school. During the Relief Society hour my mom and I took her back to nursery but she did not want to leave our sides. My mom did eventually leave but I stayed with her for the rest of class. She loved snack time and coloring. That afternoon Rachel and I both took a nap before dinner. We spent the evening hanging out together and having delicious banana splits.

October 27th - November 2nd

Rachel is getting cuter by the day.  When I put her down for her naps she normally spends at least 30 minutes sitting on her bed "reading" to fall asleep. She loves to dance and she has a little river dance thing where she moves her feet really fast.

Monday 27th - John went for a run, he did 6 miles. Monday morning Rachel and I got ready and I drove her to West Valley where Chelsi so awesomely agreed to watch her while I went to my doctors appointment. My appointment went really well.  They gave me a new kind of nausea medication to try and I got some ultras-sound pictures.  The baby is growing and has a strong heartbeat.  My official due date is June 9th, 2015. After I picked up Rachel we headed home for lunch and nap time.  That night John tutored via Skype.

Tuesday 28th - Tuesday since I was switching medication I wasn't feeling very good and spent a lot of the day laying of the couch while Rachel played around me.

Wednesday 29th - John got up early and went for a 6 mile run. Wednesday morning Rachel and I went grocery shopping since I couldn't put it off any longer.  After we got home it was lunch and nap time.  That evening our friends Becca and Joe came over for dessert and games.  John and I taught them Dominion which they picked up quickly.

Thursday 30th - Thursday was another chill day with Rachel.

Friday 31st - Friday during the day Rachel and I didn't do much.  That evening after John got home we ate dinner and got Rachel into her costume.  We drove to a neighborhood in our ward.  The plan was to Trick-or-Treat for about 30 minutes and then head home.  Rachel was having so much fun going door to door that we were out for about an hour and Rachel was really mad when we stopped.  After we got home our friends Becca and Joe came over for some games.  That night I stayed up until midnight to let my cousin's friend in to spend the night in our extra room.

Saturday November 1st - John went running, he went 12 miles. Later that morning was Liam's baptism.  It was beautiful, wonderful talks and a fantastic musical number. After the baptism and pictures we went over to Zupas for a celebratory/birthday lunch.  On the way home we stopped at Kid-to-Kid and got Rachel some cute clothes and me a pair of pants.  We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and taking naps.  John had fun playing on his computer.  That evening after dinner we met Tyler, Katie, and kids, Terry and Gloria at munchies for some delicious frozen yogurt.

Sunday 2nd - Sunday morning after Rachel got up super early we all relaxed and hung out in bed together. Rachel did pretty well at church for someone who gets to go to nursery next week.  After we got home we had lunch and then John played on his computer while Rachel and I took a nap.  That evening we just relaxed and hung out as a family.
