July 21 - July 27

I have decided to state posting my family weekly newsletter  here so that others know what is going on in my families life.

Rachel is getting so fast.  She runs by kicking her legs behind her and pumping her arms. She is getting a lot of teeth and if you get bit, check for blood.  She is a typical baby in that she wants what she wants and you had better not take it or she will let you know she is mad.  Her favorite things to play with right now are her keys and John's wallet. She is ready to go shopping.

Monday 21st - In the morning I took Rachel and Brigitta to tennis.  Rachel got very tired of being in her stroller after awhile so I let her run around and when her shoe came off she took it to the bucket of balls and put it in.  She ran around for awhile before I was able to get the shoe back on.  After we got back to the house and I was ready for the day I went over to Hunter High School to talk to them about the tennis program.  On the way home I ran over to Walmart to grab some stuff and while I was there I ran into Gloria, Chelsi, and Brigitta.  That afternoon Gloria brought Brandon and Stacie's kids came over and they all played in the backyard.  Rachel took a nap which was very good.  That night I put Rachel down to bed early because she was very cranky and tired.

Tuesday 22nd - Rachel woke up nice and early at 5:30.  It worked because I was able to get her ready for the day before I left for tennis with Brigitta.  After we got back I fed Rachel some food and put her down for a nap.  As soon as she was down I ran to Walmart for the sunscreen I had forgotten the day before. After Rachel woke up I got her and myself ready for the swimming pool. Chelsi and her kids, Gloria and Brandon and Stacie's kids, Rachel, and myself went to the Magna pool for $2 Tuesday.  We stayed for a couple hours and it was a lot of fun.  They had a great shallow end that Rachel could walk around and she loved it.  After we got back I took a shower with Rachel to get all the sunscreen off of us, fed her some lunch, and put her down for another nap.  After John got home and we had dinner we went outside to film our part of the Kidd family video.

Wednesday 23rd - I went to the high school with Brigitta and timed her doing the mile. While Brigitta was running, Rachel was standing on the side kind of cheering her on.  As Brigitta started to pass Rachel, Rachel turned around with this panic on her face, ran for Brigitta's water bottle, grabbed it, and tried to run after Brigitta to hand it to her. It was so sweet and so cute, I wanted to cry.  After she was finished running we headed over to the tennis courts to play with the other girls for awhile. After we got back I got an amazing call from John telling me that he got the job at Myriad!  I am so excited. It is a job he really wanted so that he can make a difference and prepare for his Ph.D program.  While Rachel was taking her nap I got a text from the new tennis coach at Hunter High School asking me if I was still interested in being an assistance coach. I am meeting with her on Monday morning.  At 1:30 I picked up Jeremy from the half-way point so he could come play some games.  We had a fun relaxing afternoon and played a game.  Before dinner I needed to run a few errands like getting gas and going to the bank.  After John got home a little after 8:00 we played a game of 7 Wonders which Chelsi won.  John and Jeremy went over to Brandon and Stacie's house that night to play some online games on their laptops.

Thursday 24th - Because Rachel has been throwing up so often for the past few weeks John and I decided to take her to UrgentCare that morning.  When we got there they were closed even though the website said they would be open on all holidays but Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Since we couldn't go there, we headed over to Costco to get our own memberships and then to Staples to pick up something for my mom.  After we got back, John offered to watch Rachel while I went and got my hair done.  It took a super long time, they were very slow.  Once I finally got to leave I headed over to Brandon and Stacie's to have lunch and play games with everyone there.  After lunch I ended up taking Rachel back to Terry and Gloria's house for a nap since she was so tired.  We went back to the house after Rachel woke up and I played with her and John in the backyard for awhile.  Later in the evening Rachel was getting very tired and cranky but before I could leave I had some of Gloria's delicious homemade ice-cream.  As soon as we got back I gave Rachel a bath and then folded laundry before putting Rachel down to bed.  While I was doing my stuff Chelsi came home and put Boston to bed and since both babies were asleep I told her that I would listen for both of them so she could go play more games as Brandon and Stacie's house.

Friday 25th - After Rachel got up and the 2 of us were ready for the day we ran a couple errands.  We started at the Teacher Supply Store and then since we were so close ran into Kid-to-Kidd.  On the way home we went through the carwash which Rachel always loves.  After we got back Rachel had some lunch and put her down for a nap.  While she was sleeping I went and got my hair fixed since they didn't do it right the day before.  After I got back Rachel ate again and then John came home early! Once he was out of his work clothes and Chelsi was back to watch Grace we headed to an apartment building to fill out the application since the online one didn't work.  After we finished filling out the application we headed to dinner to celebrate John's new job.  We decided to go to Olive Garden and it was a lot of fun. We got Rachel a little kids meal and she loved it.  After we got home we decided to watch The Sorcerers Apprentice. We had to pause in the middle so we could get Rachel to bed.

Saturday 26th - I got up nice and early for the weekend so that I could go down to Utah County with Terry, Gloria, Boston, and Grace to go yard-saleing.  We went to Heather's parent's house to meet up with Heather, Jeremy, and Logan.  When we got to the first house we met up with Chelsi and Tiffani.  We went to quite a few yard-sales  and I found some cute clothes, a couple movies, some books for Rachel, and my big find of the day was a children's picnic table in awesome shape for only $10.  I am very excited for Rachel to use it.  On the way home, Terry and Gloria drove me to Cedar Hills to pick up something that my grandma sent my mom.  After Rachels afternoon snack  we went to Payless to look at shoes (shocking I know) and then to Dairy Queen for a treat. That evening Jeremy came over for dinner and games. We played a game of Ticket to Ride which I lost royally and John came in second place. After that we played a game 7 Wonders which John got 2nd place and I got 4th place (out of 5). John stayed up playing on the computer with Jeremy until 1:00 in the morning.

Sunday 27th - We got up early to get ready for church. For breakfast Chelsi made some delicious German pancakes. During sacrament meeting Rachel was getting very tired and therefore quite cranky. She was pretty good during Sunday school and mostly stayed right by us. During the Relief Society/Priesthood hour Rachel went to class with John.  As soon as we got home we fed Rachel lunch and put her down for a nap. While she was sleeping I did my hair and got ready for family pictures. John had a lot of fun playing games on his computer in the afternoon.  That evening we headed to Saratoga Springs for Kidd family pictures. It went pretty well and I think we got some really good photos out of it.  After pictures we headed to Tiffani and Don's house for family dinner.  We had fishy water and it was delicious, Rachel loved it.  Once we got back to the house John gave Rachel a bath while I worked on packing suitcase for the trip tomorrow.  After Rachel was in bed we hung out in the family room watching So You Think You Can Dance.
