Week 39

39 weeks!  Baby girl is now the size of a small watermelon.  Her organs are now very well-developed and ready to function outside the womb.  I am so ready for her to come, I am extremely uncomfortable.  I just want to hold her.  

Week 38

Only 2 weeks until my due date.  Baby girl weighs around 7 pounds and is the size of a small pumpkin.  I have been having a lot of back pain because baby girl is sitting so low and so far back. I am so ready for this little girl to come, I am so excited to get to hold her.

Week 37

I am a couple days late posting this picture but here it is.  I am getting so close to my due date. Baby girl is now the size of winter melon, weighing about 6 1/2 pounds.  In preparation of life she continues to practice breathing, moving around, sucking her thumb, and blinking.  My back has been hurting more and more and I have to use the bathroom all the time as she wiggles around right on my bladder.

My in-laws threw me a baby shower.  I got some really awesome stuff including a nursing pillow, clothes, and burp clothes.  There were some beautiful flower balloons for the decorations.

The next night my aunt Jodi threw me a baby shower.  She had some beautiful decorations.

We played some really fun games including the chocolate in the diaper, price is right (guessing game), pinata, etc.  I also got some really nice gifts.  A rocking chair, a swig, a door jumper, some mirrors for the car, a beautiful picture with the story of baby girl's name, clothes, a cute sheep chair, and some other awesome stuff.

Week 36

I didn't get a chance to post when I was at week 36 because I was down in St. George so I am just doing it now.  Baby girl is was the size of a honeydew, around 6 pounds.  Most of her kicks feel more like like a sliding motion because she doesn't have very much room.  The bones at the top of her head have not fully fused so that she has some flexibility when she moves through the birth canal.

Week 35

Oh yea, made it to week 35, only 5 more weeks until my due date.  Baby girl is between 5 and 5 1/2 pounds, about the size of a coconut.  Most of her energy is geared towards rapid weight gain.  Baby girl Kidd is now turned so that she is no longer breech.  Her hearing is fully developed, and she responds the best to high pitch noises.  I have not had any bad swelling, only my feet when I sit for long periods of time.  I can still wear my wedding ring, which always makes me happy.  No new or weird cravings which makes John very happy.
